Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Greater Glory Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Resurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
The bible
We believe that the Bible is the word of God; inspired, infallible and unchangeable from Genesis to Revelation (2 timothy 3:16). One God in three people we believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit, and that the three are one. (1 John 5:7)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Son Of God, born of a virgin woman; who was crucified, died, and rose again on the third day; He ascended to the heavens and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
(Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).
(Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is gained through repentance and the confession of sins; it is given by divine grace (not by works) and is received by faith in Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator between God and men (Acts 4:12).
The resurrection of the dead and eternal life
We believe in the second coming of Christ for his people, that the dead in Christ will rise first, those who are alive will be taken up by Him, and all will go through the judgement of God. Those whose names are written in the book of life will rise again for eternal life and those whose names are not will face eternal condemnation (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelation 20:11-15).
Sanctification
We believe in sanctification as a work done instantaneously in the spirit, but one which must be developed progressively in the soul, and in the body of a child of God. (Hebrews 12:14, Romans 6:19-22).
Baptism
We believe in the baptism of the body of Christ, by which the person accepts Jesus, is born again, and goes on to be part of the Body of Christ and his eternal life. We believe in the baptism in waters as a sign of identifying with the death (to sin) and the resurrection of Jesus for eternal life (Romans 6:4). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and that, through this baptism, we receive the power to be witnesses of Jesus to the whole world (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17
Laying on of hands
We believe that the laying of hands is one of the ways to transfer blessings, healing and the power of God from one person to another (Acts 8:15-20, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6).
The Five ministries
We believe in the Five ministries of Ephesians 4:11, as the gifts given by God to the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11.)
The Governmental Ministries
We believe that the Apostle and the Prophet are governing ministries that establish the foundation and the biblical doctrine of the church
(Ephesians 3:5).
(Ephesians 3:5).
The Apostolic Government
We believe in establishing the Apostolic government in the church, with an Apostle as the head, a Prophet as part of the government, and the elders (Ephesians 4:11, Acts 14:23).
The Kingdom of God
We believe the Kingdom of God as a government, and the person Jesus as King, as the two highest and absolute truths. (Acts 8:12).
The Healing and Delivering power of the Kingdom
We believe in the power of the kingdom to heal the sick, cast out demons, and make miracles, signs, and wonders (Matthew 12:28)
Faith
We believe without faith it is impossible to live a life that is pleasing to God, and that through it we inherit his promises (Hebrews 11:6)
Preaching the Gospel
We believe in expanding the Kingdom at a local, national, and international level, through every means available to us (Matthew 24:14)
Disciple
The objective of the discipleship is to teach, train, equip, activate, and provide pastoral care because its goal is the continual and constant growth of the individual.
Affirm
In this stage of the process of the vision, we confirm and strengthen the decision made by the new believer (NB), and the proper follow up is provided until they develop the basic foundation of their new life in Christ and later be able to join a discipleship group.
Evangelize
In this stage of the process of the vision, we win souls for Christ. EVERY member of the church should be a soul winner. Our evangelism is supernatural because we not only preach the word, but we also testify and manifest the power of God through miracles, healing, the prophetic word, and words of knowledge.
We don't just believe this,... We know it.
