How do we continue on our faith journey in our adult lives?
There are three types of adults in life when it comes to faith.
- The person who is just coming to faith.
- The person who is coming back to faith.
- The person who has stayed in faith since childhood.
These types are important to know for one reason; and one reason only.
THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME CHALLENGES IN LIFE AND THEY ALL NEED THE SAME ATTENTION WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR CHRISTIAN WALK.
If you are someone coming to faith in God for the first time, welcome, we're glad you have joined God's kingdom. God sees you and knows just what you need and He will provide you with a support group of friends here in the church that will be with you as you begin your journey of faith with the Lord. You will gain a deeper understanding of how God's kingdom works and your part in it. You will find that others around you, no matter what their experience in faith, will have things in common with you whether it's their life struggles, temptations, fears, addictions, family issues, etc. So be comforted in knowing that your time of growth and spritual healing is now. Praise God!
Now, those of you adults who have fallen away from God and his ways,... REJOICE! The Lord's arms are still wide open to you. To Him it doesn't matter what you did while you were away. Come back with a heart of repentance and God will forgive (and has forgiven) you. You have not lost your place in Him, the Father wants you to know that He loves you and still has use for you. We encourage you to continue on with your journey as there is still so much God wants to show you. You may even have a part to play in the life of person who is new to faith. Don't miss out any longer on the blessings God has prepared for you and the lives he will allow you to touch. Continue your growth and learn where He will take you next.
Adults who have continued in faith since childhood, it is time for you to strengthen yourselves even more. We will discuss what God is doing in this season and what roles in ministry you are called to as this information is reveald through the Spirit of God. It is on you, even more so, to be there to encourage your friends, family and acquaintances; especially the younger and less experienced adults in this ministry. Your strength is what God is using to build up those around you for His purpose in love. The responsiblilities and spiritual battles you fight in prayer everyday will pave the path for those starting and continuing into a journey of faith. Blessed be the name of the Lord for he has empowered you to share His Word and war against the enemy, however, it's also time to share what you've learned while on your personal journey with God.
